Fletcher Bailey Bridge in Vatuwaqa will be closed to motorists from 12:00am on Sunday 20th August and re-open at 12:00am on Monday 21st August says Fiji Roads Authority Acting CEO Robert Sen.
Mr Sen says that “the closure is in place to enable China Railway 14 Group to place beams on the new bridge being constructed. The work will require the use of heavy machinery and the contractor is using the 24 hours to include mobilizing and demobilizing of heavy machinery for the beam placement work.”
Motorists are advised to use Grantham Road during the closure period and to contact Fiji Roads Authority on 5720 if they have any queries.
