LAUNCH OF RATU SUKUNA ROAD UPGRADE AND EXTENSION STREET ROAD LINK PROJECTS

The Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) advises members of the public of a temporary nightly closure of the Wainibau Bridge along Baulevu Road to facilitate essential bridge upgrade works.
The bridge will be closed nightly from 8:00pm to 5:00am, commencing Saturday, 1 August 2026, until Saturday, 15 August 2026 (14 nights) weather permitting.
During the bridge repair works, access for emergency vehicles will be maintained. Temporary traffic diversions will be clearly marked and implemented to safely direct motorists and pedestrians through the work zone.
Commuters travelling through the area are advised to take this closure into account when planning their journeys.
Advance bridge closure advisory signs will be installed prior to the commencement of the works, and traffic controllers will be on site to direct motorists to the designated bypass route.
