QUEENS ROAD BETWEEN LOMAWAI ROAD AND UCIWAI ROAD IS DOWN TO SINGLE LANE TILL FURTHER NOTICE DUE TO THE IDENTIFICATION OF A SINK HOLE

Queen Road between Lomawai Road (leads to Momi Bay) and Uciwai Road (leads to Rendezvous Hotel) which is 13.4 km from Nadi Town (Temple Roundabout) is down to single lane till further notice due to a hazard.
Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Moore says a sink hole has been identified that may pose a potential and existing hazard.
“The carriage way has been reduced to single lane for the safety of the travelling public until a proper assessment is carried out by FRA engineers.”
“Mr Moore said the FRA regrets the inconvenience and has advised the public, especially motorists to be courteous and obey all traffic directions.”
Another update will be provided once the assessment has been undertaken.
