Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) is advising members of the public to remain on high alert when travelling on Bau Tikina road from today. The alert is issued as a result of the recent discovery of underslips prompting FRA and our maintenance contractor put in place traffic control measures to guide motorists’ behaviour on this bypass road.
FRA CEO John Hutchinson says that FRA is issuing this alert for the travelling public to exercise extreme caution when travelling on Bau Tikina Road.
Mr Hutchinson says that recent road slips have necessitated additional barricades and one way restrictions on sections of this road.
Members of the public are advised to contact Fiji Roads Authority on 5720 should they have any queries.
