FIJI ROADS AUTHORITY IMPLEMENTS NEW TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES AT KEY INTERSECTIONS TO ENHANCE SAFETY AND TRAFFIC FLOW
October 9, 20258th October, 2025
The Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) is urging all motorists to adhere to all road signage and speed limits, and to follow traffic directions when driving through road work sites for their own safety and the safety of road workers.
Concerns have been raised about drivers speeding through active work zones, posing serious risks to both motorists and workers on-site.
The FRA reminds all road users that traffic management personnel and temporary traffic management plans (TMPs) are always in place at all road work areas to ensure the safe movement of traffic.
Drivers and pedestrians are urged to strictly follow the TMPs provided by traffic controllers.
The FRA requests the public’s full cooperation and patience while works are being carried out to improve the nation’s road network.
For enquiries or further information, please contact the FRA on toll-free number 5720 (available weekdays from 8:00 am to 5:00 am) or email info@fijiroads.org.
