The Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) would like to advise members of the public, especially those living along the route of Nabukaluka Delailasakau Road and the villages of Nasirotu, Nasele, Naseuvou, and Delailasakau. There is an emergency work for culvert restoration taking place on Nabukaluka Road (RP: 15376) from midday today till midday Thursday (29th – 31st October).
As a consequence, the road will be fully closed on this section for the duration of the works. Transport will be provided for public emergency cases only on both ends of the road closure.
During this period, public transportation services, including bus services, will cease operations along this route. However, they will be allowed to continue their services up to the section of the road that is unaffected by the roadwork. The public residing along upper Namosi will still have access from Namosi Road along Queens Highway.
We kindly advise those affected to please make necessary arrangements for alternative transportation from the village to the section of the road where the road workers will be present to guide them. Members of the public traveling along this area should take this notice into account when finalizing travel plans.
