SEVERAL ROADS CLOSED IN THE NORTHERN DIVISION DUE TO FLOODING, BE CAUTIOUS

Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) would like to advise members of the public that rehabilitation and upgrading works for Foster Road in Suva will commence from early January 2022.
Foster Road is part of the Suva Arterial Road Upgrading Project (SARUP) 2 package C. The rehabilitation and upgrading works will include relocation of all the utilities, streetlight, drainage improvement works, widening of the road (parking bays and central median) and major rehabilitation of the pavement. The project is being delivered by the FRA on behalf of the Government of Fiji in partnership with the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank.
The nominated contractor China Railway No.5 Engineering Group (Fiji) have been given possession of sites and the preliminary ground works has commenced. Therefore, members of the public are requested to plan their travel accordingly. Motorists are reminded to follow the directions of the flagman and the site traffic controls, to ensure safety of the other motorists and workmen alike.
