The Nabua roundabout is open to all traffic.
Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Moore says as part of the Suva Arterial Road Upgrading Project (SARUP 1) project, Nabua roundabout has been upgraded to full concrete pavement.
“The new and improved roundabout is designed to increase safety and to accommodate traffic volumes well into the future.”
Whilst the roundabout has been opened to traffic, Mr Moore said it will remain an active site as some minor works are still ongoing.
“Minor works include kerb and footpath works, concreting of safety medians, line marking and installing safety and traffic sign boards. These works are expected to be completed by the end of April.”
He has thanked China Railway Fifth Group (CR5G) for their hard work and also the road users for their patience and understanding during these important works.
