February 10, 2016
Under emergency provisions and for public safety, the Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) confirms the temporary closure of the Nadi River Bridge on the old back road.
The bridge deck will require maintenance work that may involve concrete curing and as a result of the closure motorists are requested to use alternative routes in the area.
At a minimum, the bridge is expected to be closed to all vehicles for a period of 5 days to accommodate repairs by the area maintenance contractor and FRA advises that further structural assessments will be carried out on the bridge.
Travellers to the area can contact Fiji Roads Authority on 5720 for more information.
