Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) would like to advise members of the public that Thompson Bridge in Suva City will be partially closed to vehicular traffic from 7am, Sunday 15 December 2019 until further notice.
The emergency closure is due to structural failures identified on the section of the bridge abutment that supports the two lanes on the upstream end.
Works to install the new traffic layout will commence tonight at 7pm, Saturday 14 December 2019.
