Planned maintenance work on Waibau/ Vatudavila Bridge on Waibau Vatudavila Road in Naitasiri is scheduled from 8pm, Tuesday 16th October to 6am, Wednesday 17th October.
During this time, access will be prohibited across the bridge and there will be no detours posted.
Bridge closure advisory signs have been posted in advance of the closure period and motorists are requested to plan their travel accordingly. We will have standby vehicles available on both sides of the bridge to cater for emergency events.
The FRA wishes to complete these urgent repairs as quickly and safely as possible.
Works will include removal and replacement of damaged nailing strip, Removal and replacement of damaged nailing strip and installation of new bridge end markers.
