FRA CONCLUDES SUCCESSFUL 2.5-DAY WORKSHOP ON BUDGET, INFRASTRUCTURE, AND SERVICE DELIVERY REFORMS
July 11, 20254th July, 2025
The Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) wishes to advise the public to expect road alignment changes in coming weeks with the commencement of works for the new Tamavua-I-Wai Bridge construction.
Please be advised of the following major changes to be expected:
1. Change in alignment to cater for the ground improvement works on the approach roads to the bridge
2. Major construction works for the bridge which would see the entry and exit of heavy gear in and around the Tamavua – I – Wai River
3. Change in layout of traffic management between Reservoir Road and Nadonumai Road
4. Decrease in overall speed for this section of Queens Road due to safety implementation for the public and the Contractors
The FRA is issuing this advisory to give the public ample time to prepare before this exercise is carried out.
A further advisory will be issued once the actual road alignment changes take place, allowing members of the public to plan their travel accordingly. In the interim, ground works have commenced, and the general public is urged to exercise caution and follow all safety measures and signages in place.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we carry out this essential project. For further updates, please stay tuned to official communication channels. For questions or further details, please contact FRA at our toll-free number 5720 (available on weekdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) or email info@fijiroads.org
