The temporary closure of the Nadi River Bridge on the old back road is scheduled for two nights, commencing this evening the 29th of June and tomorrow the 30th of June.<\/p>\n
The temporary closure will allow Higgins to carry out concrete repair work to the deck of the bridge.
\nThe closure is for a period of 8.5 hours with work beginning at 8:30pm. The bridge will reopen for normal use at 5:00am daily.<\/p>\n
As a pre-emptive measure, bridge closure signs were posted onsite a week in advance, advising motorists of the closure.<\/p>\n
Outside of these hours the bridge will remain open and the public can contact Fiji Roads Authority on 5720 if they have any queries.<\/p>\n
