{"id":6044,"date":"2020-04-28T20:35:51","date_gmt":"2020-04-28T20:35:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.fijiroads.org\/?p=6044"},"modified":"2020-04-28T20:35:51","modified_gmt":"2020-04-28T20:35:51","slug":"fra-warns-motorists-to-drive-safely-amidst-wet-weather","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fijiroads.org\/index.php\/2020\/04\/28\/fra-warns-motorists-to-drive-safely-amidst-wet-weather\/","title":{"rendered":"FRA WARNS MOTORISTS TO DRIVE SAFELY AMIDST WET WEATHER"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Moore is advising motorists to drive safely amidst the wet weather conditions due to surface flooding, especially in the low lying areas.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Princes Road towards the Rewa roundabout end has been reduced to a single lane due to a slip.<\/li>\n<li>The Nabukavesi Road in Navua is closed to all traffic due to wash out. <em>Detour: This is a loop road which connects to Mau, Qilai and Nabukavesi on one end and Veivatuloa on the other loops onto Queens Road.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The following roads in Navua are affected:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Old Queens Road (Waindoi)- Closed<\/li>\n<li>Namosi Road- Closed<\/li>\n<li>Calia Road- Closed<\/li>\n<li>Waiyanitu Road- open to 4WD only<\/li>\n<li>Saliadrau Road- open to 4WD only<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The following roads are closed in Rewa due to flooding:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Buiduna Road<\/li>\n<li>Koronivia Road accessible to 4WD only<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The following roads are closed in Naqali due to flooding:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nabukaluka Delailasakau \u2013Waisomo Crossing<\/li>\n<li>Vatulili Road \u2013 Waidradra cossing (1st Crossing)<\/li>\n<li>Navulokani Road \u2013 Waiwatu and Waisa Crossing<\/li>\n<li>Savu Road \u2013 Muaniweni flats near Shatnikatan Primary School<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cSeveral roads continue to be affected in the Central Division due to surface flooding caused by the heavy rain and we are advising motorists to avoid driving through flooded water as the depth is hard to gauge.
