{"id":4560,"date":"2018-11-25T22:04:40","date_gmt":"2018-11-25T22:04:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.fijiroads.org\/?p=4560"},"modified":"2018-11-25T22:04:40","modified_gmt":"2018-11-25T22:04:40","slug":"final-changes-to-the-suva-city-centre-plan-to-begin-from-next-monday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fijiroads.org\/index.php\/2018\/11\/25\/final-changes-to-the-suva-city-centre-plan-to-begin-from-next-monday\/","title":{"rendered":"FINAL CHANGES TO THE SUVA CITY CENTRE PLAN TO BEGIN FROM NEXT MONDAY"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>26 November 2018<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>One way traffic management system will be put in place on Renwick Road in Suva from next week Monday 3<sup>rd<\/sup> December.<\/p>\n<p>Confirming this, General Manager Central Aram Goes says the new layout on Renwick Road will consists of two lanes from Central Street with one-way traffic only.<\/p>\n<p>He said these were part of the final changes to the Suva City Layout Plan to address the continual increase in traffic numbers, parking demands and the safety needs of the high pedestrian volumes in the City.<\/p>\n<p>Further changes include;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Ellery Street intersection on to Renwick Road<\/strong> &#8211; traffic from Ellery Street will not be able to turn left onto Renwick, to exit onto Pratt Street, once the road works are completed.\u00a0 Only right turn movement out of Ellery Street onto Renwick Road will be allowed for the two lanes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Pier Street <\/strong>&#8211; entry will be from Thomson Street and exit entry will be from Thomson Street and exit into Renwick Road.
