{"id":4401,"date":"2018-10-17T19:37:10","date_gmt":"2018-10-17T19:37:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.fijiroads.org\/?p=4401"},"modified":"2018-10-17T19:37:10","modified_gmt":"2018-10-17T19:37:10","slug":"urgent-road-works-ratu-dovi-road-morning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fijiroads.org\/index.php\/2018\/10\/17\/urgent-road-works-ratu-dovi-road-morning\/","title":{"rendered":"URGENT ROAD WORKS AT RATU DOVI ROAD THIS MORNING"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) wishes to advise members of the public that we are carrying out some urgent road works at Ratu Dovi Road.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday afternoon an emergency Corridor Access request permit was issued to Energy Fiji Limited (EFL) allowing them to dig into the Ratu Dovi Road near the intersection of Sekoula Road for required cable repairs. This was critical to ensure power was restored to the industrial and residential area affected.<\/p>\n<p>Regrettably the EFL contractor failed to adequately backfill their trench with quality materials resulting in major trench settlement under early morning traffic movements.<\/p>\n<p>Accordingly the FRA has had to intercede to level and compact this trench during peak traffic hours. This work will be done as fast as possible to avoid unnecessary delays with brief period of single lane traffic.
