Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) is constructing 84 bus shelters around the country within the next seven months.<\/p>\n

FRA comments that with the construction of the 84 new bus shelters, the bus commuters will now have much better accessibility and comfort.<\/p>\n

Priority has been given to areas that are mostly in front of schools and health centres and we will be replacing the old bus shelters with new ones and it was important to get the best service to the public.<\/p>\n

The new bus shelters have a category 4 cyclone certification and is designed strong enough to withstand during tropical cyclones.<\/p>\n

The new bus shelter is designed in-house and we have engaged two local contractors to install the shelters.<\/p>\n

Whilst we are constructing new assets for communities, we are also concerned about the acts of vandalism on our road assets.<\/p>\n

We are advising the public to look after these assets for your own benefits and please be vigilant and report all instances of vandalism to the Fiji Police Force.<\/p>\n

There will be more bus shelters constructed in the future as there were a lot of requests coming in from the public.<\/p>\n

The 84 bus shelters will be constructed through the country.<\/p>\n
