{"id":3110,"date":"2017-12-13T01:01:23","date_gmt":"2017-12-13T01:01:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.fijiroads.org\/?p=3110"},"modified":"2017-12-13T01:01:23","modified_gmt":"2017-12-13T01:01:23","slug":"edinburgh-drive-single-lane-till-notice-due-major-works","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fijiroads.org\/index.php\/2017\/12\/13\/edinburgh-drive-single-lane-till-notice-due-major-works\/","title":{"rendered":"EDINBURGH DRIVE IS DOWN TO SINGLE LANE TILL FURTHER NOTICE DUE TO MAJOR WORKS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>13 December 2017<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Edinburgh Drive is down to single lane till further notice due to major works.<\/p>\n<p>Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Moore says an old slip has been identified that may pose a potential and existing hazard.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have closed the affected lane- Nausori bound lane and the public are advised to use the Reservoir Road and Waimanu Road as alternative routes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur contractor China Railway Fifth Group was working on the lane as part of the Suva Arterial Road Upgrading Project (SARUP 1) when they uncovered a wide crack in the ground, the position coincides precisely with the location of a previously identified crack along the road.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said they have set up full Traffic Management in and around the area and traffic controllers will be directing traffic flow safely.
