For Immediate Release <\/strong><\/p>\n

Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) would like to advise members of the public that the Queens Road at Veisari, Lami will be down to single lane today from 9am to 1pm to allow tree cutting works.<\/p>\n

This follows after a landslide on Tuesday, whereby the slip material extended across approximately 60m length of the Queens Road with the buildup of debris over 2m deep.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

FRA General Manager Network Operations and Maintenance Aram Goes says some tall pine trees on the roadside embankment pose a potential hazard therefore the FRA Contractor will be removing them for safety reasons.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere may be possible delays in traffic movements from 9am to 1pm after morning peak, however, we will set up full Traffic management on site to guide motorists safely through the site.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mr Goes said the FRA regrets the short term inconvenience, however, it was vital to ensure the safety of the public.<\/p>\n
