Fiji Roads Authority General Manager Network Operations and Maintenance Aram Goes has confirmed that Queens Road at Veisari, Lami is now open to one lane.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur contractor Fulton Hogan Hiways has managed to clear one lane, this has taken longer than anticipated due to the slip material extending across approximately 60m length of the Queens Road with the buildup of debris over 2m deep,\u201d Mr Goes said.<\/p>\n

He said they have arranged for a Stop\/Go Traffic Management, whilst FHH clears the other lane.<\/p>\n

\u201cMotorists are advised to use extreme caution whilst travelling in these conditions and please drive slowly.\u201d
\nMr Goes said if rain continues then there may be too much risk to allow two lanes, however they were monitoring the situation and once it is safe, the FRA will allow two lane traffic.<\/p>\n
