{"id":2635,"date":"2017-09-18T02:24:02","date_gmt":"2017-09-18T02:24:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.fijiroads.org\/?p=2635"},"modified":"2017-09-18T02:24:02","modified_gmt":"2017-09-18T02:24:02","slug":"queen-elizabeth-drive-now-open-traffic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fijiroads.org\/index.php\/2017\/09\/18\/queen-elizabeth-drive-now-open-traffic\/","title":{"rendered":"QUEEN ELIZABETH DRIVE NOW OPEN TO TRAFFIC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>18 September 2017<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) wishes to advise members of the public that the Queen Elizabeth Drive is now open to traffic.<\/p>\n<p>Confirming this, Acting Chief Executive Officer Robert Sen says whilst the road has been opened to traffic, it will remain an active site as works are still ongoing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPlease note this will remain an active site as we continue to build the other roadside amenities such as bus bays and installing of streetlights.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mr Sen said they will reduce the road to a single lane when required, to do the necessary works, and the traffic controllers will then be directing traffic flow in the area.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSome delays should be expected over the coming weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said they have completed the rehabilitation of the road pavement, new asphalt surface, kerb and channel and footpaths.
