STOP/ GO TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENT AT YAQARA BRIDGE ON KINGS ROAD FROM 11am – 11.30am

6 February 2018

Traffic will be managed under stop / go arrangement at Yaqara Bridge between Rakiraki and Tavua on Kings Road from 11am to 11.30am to clear debris.

Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) General Manager Network Operations and Maintenance Aram Goes says their contractor Higgins will require 30 minutes to remove the debris stuck under the bridge after the heavy rain over the weekend.

“FRA is requesting motorists to strictly adhere to the signs placed and follow the directions of the traffic controllers to ensure the safety of other motorists and workmen alike.

In the case of an emergency, Mr Goes said Higgins will immediately stop work and clear the bridge and emergency service vehicles will be given access.

“Members of the public travelling along this area to take this notice into account when finalising travel plans.”

FRA wishes to apologise for the short term inconvenience.  For further queries please call FRA on 5720.
