Fiji Roads Authority would like to advise members of the public that road repair works on the Mead Road and Princes Road intersection will commence from 8pm to 6am daily from 13th to 26th August.
Works will include upgrading the top section of Mead Road, removal of the existing old seal, adding of new aggregate and cement stabilising the newly added aggregate to strengthen the pavement structure. An asphalt layer will then be applied to the stabilised road to provide a smooth driving surface.
As a result of these road works, partial road closures will be implemented whereby only a single lane will be accessible to motorists while the other lane will be closed off for road works.
Motorists can use the diversion via Loa Street and Lovoni Road to gain access onto Mead Road or Princes Road.
Full traffic management will be present on site to guide motorists safely through the site. Minor traffic delays are expected and travelers along this area are advised to take this notice into account when finalising their travel plans.
This is part of the FRA 2018/2019 Accelerated Structural Repair Programme. We apologise for the short term inconvenience. For further queries please call the FRA on 5720 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
