POLICY OFFICER QUALITY ASSURANCE/QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR

(CENTRAL / WEST / NORTH)

 

The Policy Officer is responsible for the development, analysis, review and implementation of all policies with the FRA.

 

The officer must display the ability to transfer information into policy and regulatory solutions while working with multiple stakeholders to deliver multiple outcomes with tight timeframes.

 

To be Successful, you must have:-

·         Diploma in Public Policy and Administration;

·         Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar role;

·         Experience in strategic planning;

·         Understanding of legislation and the ability to translate to policy;

·         High level of communication & negotiation skills;

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

·         Valid Group 2 driver’s license (preference manual).

The QA/QC Inspector is involved in all stages of project development and delivery to ensure that the quality policies of the Government of Fiji, the FRA and its funding partners are fully complied with.

 

The QA/QC will work with project teams to ensure quality is managed to a consistent, high standard and contribute to the creation of a high performance quality assurance culture with FRA employees, external consultants and contractors to support delivery of FRA’s design, delivery, operations and maintenance objectives.

 

To be successful, you must have:-

·         Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering or similar discipline;

·         Minimum of 8 – 10 years of experience in similar role;

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

·         Valid Group 2 driver’s license (preference manual).

The Works Manager is responsible, on behalf of the Fiji Roads Authority (FRA), for the coordination and construction management of infrastructure projects and all operational site activities to ensure all programme and budget requirements are met.

 

The role requires effective management of project works and their inter-dependencies including oversight of any risk and issues arising.

 

To be successful you must have:-

·         Degree in Civil Engineering or similar discipline;

·         Minimum 8 -10 years of experience in road and/ or bridge construction of which 3 – 5 years has been spent in a supervisory role;

·         Proficient with MS-Office in particular MS-Project

·         Good knowledge of construction materials and testing requirements;

·         Conflict management/resolution skills;

·         Excellent command of English, written and verbal;

·         Valid Group 2 driver’s licence (preference manual).

·         Minimum 5 – 7 years’ experience in road and/or bridge construction;

·         Knowledge of standard testing methodology for road works;

·         Excellent command of English, written and verbal;

·         Minimum 5 – 7 years’ experience in bridge and or/ marine structures maintenance and construction;

·         Knowledge of standard testing methodology for material used in Bridge and Marine structure construction;

·         Excellent command of English, written and verbal;

·         Valid Group 2 driver’s licence (preference manual).
