Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) Chief Executive Officer John Hutchinson has confirmed that multiple roads in the Central and Western Division are now closed and impassable.

“Some roads and low-lying areas continue to be in danger of flooding as rainfall continues in most parts of the country and the FRA is closely monitoring the situation for all divisions.”

Mr Hutchinson is advising members of the public to be extremely careful and do not drive into water of unknown depth and current.

Meanwhile, all roads in the Northern and Eastern Division remain open.

Members of the public can contact FRA on 5720 if they have queries regarding the affected roads and crossings.
